Used by passenger car owners, professional truck drivers, railroad engineers, and marine vessel captains alike, our Used Oil Analysis program is a simple, low-cost way to ensure you're getting the maximum use out of your oil and to diagnose potential engine problems before they worsen.
Hydrocarbon contaminant testing for water and/or soil is also available.

Once received, test results are normally returned by fax or mail within 3 to 5 days of testing. Upon request, 24-hour turnaround is also available.

Tests for 18 basic elements in oil sample that indicate likely abnormal engine wear.
Tests for glycol, water, and fuel in oil sample, likely indicators of leaks or mechanical failure.

Viscosity |
Tests oil density/thickness which impacts oil pressure. |
| TBN |
Total Base Number (TBN) indicates how much detergent remains in the engine oil and, as a result, how often an oil change is necessary. |
| TAN |
Total Acid Number (TAN) indicates the level of acidity in hydraulic fluids and/or gear oils. High acid levels lead to engine corrosion |
