Irving Oil Whitegate Refinery, Whitegate, Co. Cork - Irving Oil is delighted to confirm its continued sponsorship of Aghada GAA Club in an agreement that provides new jerseys for every team across the organisation.

“We are happy to renew our support of Aghada GAA Club and proud to be supplying new jerseys for all 28 teams in the club,” said Sarah Irving, Executive Vice President of Irving Oil.

“Aghada GAA Club is an important part of the local community and the work they do for hundreds of juveniles and adult members is just incredible. We are honoured to partner with the dedicated team at the club.”

In November, Aghada GAA Club welcomed the Irving Oil team to its club house for a formal jersey presentation and gathering.

“The sponsorship from Irving Oil is a critically important partnership for our club,” said Jimmy O’Leary, speaking on behalf of Aghada GAA Club. “The supply of jerseys to all of our club teams helps to ensure that our own funds are spent providing better facilities and coaching for our members.

“We are proud to partner with Irving Oil and are very appreciative of the relationship our club has had with Whitegate Refinery over many years,” said Mr. O’Leary.

Since acquiring the Whitegate refinery in September 2016, Canadian-owned Irving Oil has worked to establish a strong community presence in the village of Whitegate and in the wider area of County Cork. The continued partnership with Aghada GAA Club is part of this commitment, along with establishing partnerships with two local schools and continuing support of Junior Achievement Ireland and several other local clubs and organizations.
