    Career

Jon has been incredibly fortunate throughout his career to be involved in several exciting opportunities as Irving Oil evolves for the future. He initially joined the Energy Transition Strategy Team, where his objective was to provide a plan to decarbonize Irving Oil’s facilities. His role then evolved into Project Engineer, where he managed engineering disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of Energy Transition and capital projects.

In September 2025, Jon transitioned into his current role as Manager, Capital Portfolio, where he is responsible for overseeing the planning, prioritization, and governance of Irving Oil’s capital projects portfolio. This includes developing portfolio management strategies, improving maturity of existing portfolios, and ensuring alignment with business objectives to deliver long-term value. What Jon enjoys most about this role is the opportunity to lead a team, influence strategic decisions, and shape the future of capital investment at Irving Oil.

Jon continues to embrace new challenges every day and looks forward to driving capital effectiveness and supporting Irving Oil’s growth and sustainability objectives into 2026 and beyond.
