Career
Jon has been incredibly fortunate throughout his career to be involved in several exciting opportunities as Irving Oil evolves for the future. Jon initially joined the Energy Transition Strategy Team, where his objective was to provide a plan to decarbonize Irving Oil’s facilities. His role has since evolved into Project Engineer, where he is responsible for managing engineering disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of Energy Transition projects. What he enjoys most about his role is the exposure to various aspects of a project, such as designing a foundation, or deciding what material will be used, all the way to construction. Ultimately, Jon is responsible to make sure the engineering team members do their job correctly to ensure a safe project that is on time and on budget.
Jon enjoys how every day brings a new challenge. He looks forward to continuing to work towards reducing the impact Irving Oil has on the environment.
