Supporting patient care at Massachusetts General Hospital
Inspiring hope, together
We are proud to support care initiatives and inspire hope for patients at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA.
On February 4, 2026, in marking World Cancer Day, we announced a $35-million gift to Massachusetts General Hospital, renowned for its groundbreaking research, advanced clinical treatment offerings, commitment to innovation and world-class patient care.
This gift will establish the Irving Oil Limited Center for Urgent Cancer Care and the Irving Oil Limited Healing Garden − both in honor of Arthur L. Irving, our company’s late Chairman Emeritus.
The urgent cancer care center, scheduled to open in 2027, will offer 24-7 access to highly specialized care for cancer patients in a comfortable setting that reduces patient exposure to other illnesses. Overlooking the Boston cityscape, the 7,500-square-foot healing garden will provide many proven therapeutic and holistic benefits for patients through a connection to nature and exercise. It is slated to open in 2030.
Massachusetts General Hospital long held a special place in Mr. Irving’s heart. He was a steadfast supporter and longtime champion of the facility. Inspired by Mr. Irving’s continued legacy of giving, this gift also represents an investment in our people and the communities where we operate.
We also offer our Fuel the Care program to patient families of Mass General Brigham for Children, providing fuel gift cards to families traveling from home to hospital to access medical appointments for a child.
We have been proud to serve customers in the United States since 1972. New England is also our home. We thank our hard-working employees and our valued customers for helping us to inspire hope in the community.
